The synchronization capabilities of PocketTech provide
a flexible and secure platform to ensure only authorized
personnel have access to PocketTech. The Synchronization
program is password protected and can only be accessed
by a Supervisor (as defined within the security of
Alarm). Each license of PocketTech includes a User
Profile that
determines how that user will receive and synchronize
data between PocketTech and Alarm, thereby ensuring
only the appropriate amount of data is transferred
to each user’s PDA. Each User Profile:
Must match the registered profile on the individual
PDA for security control
Can be selected for PC To PDA, PDA To PC, or Bi-Directional
Synchronization
Can limit customer data to just those customers
that User is assigned to work on that day or for the
next several upcoming days (perfect for field technicians)
Can extract customer’s within an account
number range, name range or zip code range
Can select/unselect Support Log, Equipment List,
Zone List and Contact List Export
Can be setup to handle Conflict Resolution either
automatically or manuallyAllows restrictions on adding
new records from the User’s PocketTech to the
Alarm software.
Tracks last synchronization date for fast retrieval
and synchronization
PocketTech consists of two programs.
The PocketTech software itself that gets installed
and runs on your PDA, and the Synchronization
program that gets installed on your PC.

A minimum of 64 MB internal RAM.
Screen:
Color Screen (4k or higher color resolution)
320x240 minimum screen size required!
(Smartphones with smaller screen sizes will not
work unless you purchase a scroll utility).

PC Connection:
USB, Bluetooth
(USB is the preferred connection method due to
it's increased speed over bluetooth. However, bluetooth
is a more convenient method since it does not
require a physical connection to your desktop
